Project 365- Round 2

Sometime in October, my general interest in doing the Project 365 sputtered out. Looking at all those blank calendar spaces made me feel a bit hopeless, so I finally made a pretty obvious groundbreaking decision- I will start over!

I've been able to fill in from Dec 1 through today because, thankfully, I've been taking more pictures lately. Hopefully I'll be able to make it all the way through the end of Nov '11 without missing any more days!

Of course, I have to leave you with a couple recent pictures of the 2 critters who will probably get the most camera time. Enjoy!

Project 365 Update

To my surprise, I'm actually doing pretty well on my Project 365. I won't lie, there have been some days where I didn't take a picture and just used a picture from a previous day that I hadn't showcased. But I think I'm sticking with the spirit of the project- I'm getting out almost every day and trying to take shots of new things, which is definitely helping my photo skills grow.

The crappy part is that often, after biking to work, working 8.5-10 hours and biking home, I'm not always interested in being 'artsy' (plus the light is often gone by the time I get home, so I'm stuck inside). It doesn't help that right now I also have to head out to the ponies every night to take care of Copper's injury, which drains more of the day (though does sometimes provide interesting photo opportunities).

But despite that, I'm still excited enough about the project to keep tackling it, and I do like that I can look back over my photos and see a definite improvement! Here are some of my favorites (for more, follow this link to my Project 365 page).

Photo fun

I've been very slow about getting pictures put online for your enjoyment- much sorry. If you head over to my Project 365, I have posted some of my favorite pictures from our vacation on there. Just look at the calender and flip back to May for the Europe pictures:). Have no fear, I am working on multiple lengthy review posts of our fabulous vacation!

Until then, here is one of the famous lions of Piazza San Marco to tide you over.

Project 365

As if I haven't set myself out for enough projects right now, I have decided to add one more to my platter {yup, we are beyond plate size now}.

Project 365 is successfully forcing me to get some good hands-on time with my camera. If you are bored, check out my calendar. I haven't taken a great picture everyday, but at least it gets me messing with the precious' settings:).
