Next weeks scavenger hunt items are:
1. Water
2. Quote
3. Window
4. Activity
5. Page 25 of a Magazine
I ended up not editing any of these shots, so I'm also linking up with Murrieta 365- pop over there for more amazing SOOC images!

You Capture: Happy and B&W Wednesday
Mr. Pony bought me madeleine pans over 1.5 years a while ago, and I've been a bit lax in using them. As in I've made them once. Oops. Last weekend I made them for him again {using this amazing recipe}, and it made him ridiculously happy. They were quite pretty, both pre and post cooking, but I honestly wasn't given a chance to photograph them after they were cooked- Mr. P had 3 cookies in his mouth before you could say 'yum'. I guess that means I should make them again soon!
And yes, I know it is Thursday. I *might* be running a little late on a lot of stuff! I took this shot last May while we were in Venice. I hadn't started shooting in manual yet, and seriously every photo I got at this moment (I took 10) was on the wrong setting and they all turned out blue! Switching it to black and white lets the beauty of the gondolas finally show!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
I have so many happy memories of Chowder and Pepsi. These shots made me realize that my camera needs to head out to the horse barn more- I haven't gotten any new images of the ponies (Copper and Lyric- you can see them in the About Me section) recently and I have 13 years of memories of them to recapture!
Too bad there isn't a genie in this lamp {yes, I have tried!}
Mr. Pony gave me this ring several years ago, and it still lists as one of the 3 pieces of jewelry that I regularly wear!
Next week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday items are:
1. Texture
2. Fog
3. Button
4. Beverage or Drink

Chowder's Day
Chowder leads a ruff rough life. We make him sit, lay, come and all that other stuff that is quite cruel for humans to do to dogs.
Example:
The Foto Friday theme is 'light'- since Chowder was checking out his light source, I figured this image works!
And after all that goofy rolling in the grass battling against evil, he takes a much needed rest.
Its a tough life, but some Chowder has got to do it.

One Little Word: Captured- for me the word of the week will be joy. Work takes a lot out of me sometimes, but all I have to do is look at this fuzzy little dude and I smile. Yay for the innocent joy of pups!

Lets go on a Picnik!
Can you tell I just started using Picnik? My current laptop doesn't have enough memory to run anything like PhotoShop, so I use that fun online tool and I'm toodling around with the options! I know they may be amateur, but I'm having fun! So without further ado- my recent edits!

Free day!
Today I didn't have to work! I slept until 9 am by cosmological imperative accident, ate an amazing breakfast of home-smoked bacon and eggs, bought myself a miter saw {SQUEEEEE}, carved up all the boards from yesterday's Lowe's trip into useful sizes for my bedframe-making adventure, and was otherwise totally useless! Phew- what a day!
To top it all off, I managed to squeeze in a few image-making moments too!
BACON!!!!!!!!!!! A macro shot of deliciously hot and crunchy bacon that made me quite happy this morning- yay forfilling my belly with yumminess meeting multiple photo challenge needs at once! Off to a good start for the week!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
This week I waited until the last minute to find my scavenger hunt items, and I'm afraid it shows. However, next week I vow to do better (as in, I'll start earlier than 5pm on Sunday). Oops!
1. A Different View- Mr. Pony is smoking pork shoulder {and bacon, and chicken} today for the first time ever, and while I looked in the top several times to see the deliciousness within, I hadn't checked out the area where the work was actually happening. These are the coals giving us all the smokey goodness!
2. Looking Up- Chowder was interested in what I was doing. Of course, with the new macro lens, I have trouble keeping him far enough away to get his entire face in the frame!
3. Abstract- This is our front door, but I rarely ever look out this window, and it provided some interesting optical opportunities!
4. Hair- a look at Pepsi's eyebrow whiskers up close.
5. Half- halfway through the book!
